An organic community of plants, animals and bacteria and the physical and chemical environment they inhabit.

Description

An interconnected and interacting system comprising living organism – including animals, plants, fungi, and microorganisms – and their non living environment.

Why are the ecosystems important?

The functioning of an ecosystem is a measure of the sustainability of the impacts/use on the resource that supports the ecosystem.
