Definition

Of the same or similar nature.  Uniform in structure or composition throughout.

Description

A characteristic of the geological unit in which hydraulic conductivity is independent of position or direction; opposite of heterogeneous.

Why is homogeneous important?

High degrees of homogeneity allow for more accurate quantification and simulation of aquifer systems.

 

 

Homogeneous
