  - The Y-axis is a line of longitude chosen as a central meridian. By convention this is an
    odd numbered line of longitude. 
- On the central meridian, the Y-value of a point is the arc of the meridian ellipse. 
- The projection is conformal. Ie. locally, angles are preserved by the projection.
