Definition

The volume of groundwater available to allocate or distribute.

Description

Allocable groundwater is a South African term.  It is equal to groundwater allocation minus existing water use and considering the impact on other water resources.

Why is allocable groundwater important?

A provides an estimation of groundwater that can be allocated.
