Values
The training centre believes that its major role and significant contribution is to “EMPOWER” workforce and enhance human capital through the following values:
E: Equal access People should be given equal opportunity in accessing training and development programmes despite their status in process and manner which is fair and non- discriminatory.
M: Mentorship Mentoring of new entrants into water sector and other technical field has become a major challenge due to shortage of experienced personnel in the public sector. Continuous identification and development of mentors becomes a strategic key enabler for capacity and skills development.
P: Partnership The centre is consciously aware that to fully cater and make meaningful impact is has to create partnership with other entities so that large scope can be reached and covered.
O: Occupationally oriented Occupational learning is an alternative pathway, especially those without formal school leaving certification; it is a route which is highly valued to the centre.
W: Willingness Where there is a will there is a way. The centre strives to inculcate the culture of willingness.
E: Excellence The centre subscribes to belief that individuals are inherently excellent.
R: Redress There are still large numbers of unskilled and semi-skilled workforce in the workplace from designated and previously disadvantaged group.
