International Computer Driver's License (ICDL)

Target Audience

  • DWS internal officials.

Entry Requirements

  • Module 1: Understanding of the main concepts of ICT at a general level, and to know about the different parts of a computer.

  • Module 2: Candidate to demonstrate competence in running and managing a personal computer.

  • Module 3: Knowledge of using a word processing application to create everyday letters and documents.

  • Module 4: Basic understanding of the concept of spreadsheets and to demonstrate an ability to use a spreadsheet to produce accurate work outputs.

  • Module 5: Basic understanding of the concept of a database and demonstrate competence in using a database.

  • Module 6: Candidate to demonstrate competence in using presentation software.

  • Module 7: Basic knowledge of internet use and to use web browsing application.

Nomination Process

  • Nominated and or interested participants are required to submit DWS internal training intervention/commitment form via their respective training coordinators at sites, regions and clusters.

  • DWS internal training intervention/commitment form must be submitted, with PDP attached, if training was planned or with motivation on instances where the need is identified after the PDP process.

  • Alternatively register online, on the DWS intranet: Link: IBTC

  • The following ICDL modules are currently accredited and offered at IBTC:
