Study Steering Committee
The Study Steering Committee (SSC) is a platform for consultation with key stakeholders. It comprises representatives from relevant organisations which may include the following:

National, Provincial and Local Government (including municipalities),
- Catchment Management Agencies (CMAs),
- Water Boards,
- Water Users’ Organisations,
- Parastatals,
- Private Sector Organisations,
- Environmental Forums and
- other interested parties identified during the course of the
The SSC provides high-level direction and guidance to the Study and works with support of the other governance structures, such as the Study Administration Meeting (SAM) and the Technical Support Group (TSG). It will appropriately communicate progress and findings to all relevant stakeholders, including the public at large, and take necessary steps to ensure implementation of the revised National Water Resource Reconciliation Strategy.
The SSC is a voluntary body operating at a strategic level and ensuring that the technical aspects of the study are transparent and consultative, and that cooperative governance is embraced.
