The analytics described above give us insight into how a highly trivialised version of the lake works. Hence all conclusions drawn from these formulae must be tested first on a more complete model of the physical system.

The full lake salinity model program includes :-

• Multiple lake cells.
• Depth-area cell profiles.
• Cell link cross section profiles.
• River, rainfall, evaporation, ground-water time series.
• Lake level / Estuary flow function derived from the work of Huizenga et al.

While the conclusions one can draw must be conditional on whether they still work in the full model, it is notable that the full model provided no ``surprises''. In other words, the insights gained from these simple analytics, in retrospect, hold true for the highly complex full model.
