Definition

The volume of water per unit of time blown from the borehole during drilling.

Description

The rate at which water is blown from a borehole during drilling.  A blow yield test is usually conducted once the borehole is completed to provide an indication of borehole yield.

Why is blow yield important?

Blow yield gives an indication of the rate at which groundwater can be abstracted from a borehole.
