WMS: How to capture water quality results electronically

WMS guide for capturing water quality data into a spreadsheet and importing it :

  1. Capturing data on a spreadsheet - capture water quality data into a spreadsheet in a format that can be imported into WMS with the Electronic Data Capture functions.
  2. Preparing data for import and checking files for correctness - export data in a .csv format and check the files to ensure the correct data formats are used.
  3. Loading data - how to load the data into WMS.
  4. Linking imported data to equivalent WMS data - how to link imported data to WMS equivalent data in your monitoring programme, register the data in WMS as samples, and release the results.
  5. Chapters 5-7 to follow.
